I know it's just gamesmanship, but "Miller Lite Field" made me laugh.

I had never heard the term genuflected before.

Also, I’d be fine with giving Shane Greene another shot at the closing role.

And did I mention he has a badass entrance?

This is the best Braves team I’ve seen in 15+ years. I’m enjoying the hell out of it. This is our second winning streak of at least 8 games this season.

I was wondering how long it would be before pitchers started to figure out Yordan. He’s batting .198 in last 15 games and .115 the last 7. Took a bit longer for him than it did Austin Riley.

Honestly I don’t entirely disagree with him. For the Mets to get to the playoffs, Diaz has to be good. At this point, basically everyone else except Lugo and Wilson suck, and at this point in the season you can’t just bring in guys from the minors and take a chance that they do okay. Diaz has shown he can pitch well so you just have to hope he comes around.

If we don’t make the playoffs though Diaz can definitely be blamed and they need to get him the fuck off the team.

Would be nice if the Diamondbacks could start losing again.

Donaldson having the best year of his career and I’ve loved every minute. Atlanta is going to always love this guy even if he doesn’t come back.

Donaldson’s had better years. He won an MVP!

    Glad he’s still great tho

His numbers are looking better this year. Defense has been stellar. His HR numbers will be almost identical to that year, his career high - 41. Might even top it. Higher OPS. RBIs are lacking because well the NL leading RBI hitter bats right in front of him.

I wish we had a shortstop that wasn’t Orlando Arcia.

41 HRs in 2015 is extremely different to 41 homers in 2019. Not even worth talking about RBIs because they truly don't add much to any discussion.

    Donaldson in 2019:
    5.5 WAR
    132 OPS+
    .385 wOBA

    Donaldson in 2015:
    8.5 WAR
    151 OPS+
    .398 wOBA
And was a plus baserunner that year

Donaldson is still great, he's putting up great offensive numbers, but they don't compare to 2015 since the run environment has changed drastically thanks to the juiced ball.

Rafael Devers has a .939 OPS this year, equal to what Donaldson did in 2015, but Devers has an OPS+ that's 24 points worse compared to 2015 Donaldson because league-wide offensive production is up. What Donaldson did in 2015 (and 2016!) is more impressive, and more valuable, when you consider the context in which it happened.
