This is a fun exercise: Have you parents listen to new Blink.

My 60+ year old mother hearing "She's Out Of Her Mind":

- I like the drum intro
- Head shaking to A-A-A-AntiSocial
- She liked the chorus
- "Easy for people to remember and sing to it, you can understand most of the words!"
- She gave it a 8/10, "cute song"


Listening to "Sober"

- Screamed "When I'm sober" by the end of the song
- "This song sounds like that other nah nah song" (All The Small Things)
- "It's a guy song, for good friends"
- 8/10

Well, Tom, here's your holiday. Hope Tom enjoyed this time cause he gave it all away. It was mine(favorite). So when you're dead and gone, will you remember this night you quit? 20 years now lost its not right Tom!

 

A lot of people talking about rewatching the Urethra Chronicles. Did anyone else watch the MTV album launch for the untitled album? That was always one of my favs to watch again and again on the youtubes.

Also watching this, I'm like "Wow... Tom seems...normal" haha.

There might be a couple others I'm missing but for the most part that's all the AVA tracks I think are worth keeping around.

 

And the thing that kills me is that Mark always supported Tom when he did want to do AVA but as we all know Tom's ego got in the way. One thing I always loved about the Trio is that Matt always supported Dan and Dan always supported Matt. And I think Matt brings that contenuity to Blink where as Tom didn't.

 

I don't think Tom has truly liked Mark since Enema of the State. Think he started seeing Mark as a bullying big brother circa 2001

 

They've hated each other longer than they liked each other.

As much as Blink 182 and Tom have influenced me, I'm happy Tom is no longer a part of Blink right now. The new album is awesome and even though i can still listen to Neighborhoods/DED, I can't help but feel like Tom became poisonous to the band.

 

I'm sure this has already been posted, but the numbers are officially in, and holy shit. This album sold so well! 185k w/streaming, 170k pure album sales. Thats 20k more pure album sales than Neighborhoods, and that was 5 years ago AND released on a major label.

I'm so happy that Blink is big again. Hell, I'm happy that guitar music is big again.

 

So awesome! The best part is that this happened because Blink fans decided to buy and stream the album. The fact that all of us had such big part in this happening makes me feel really proud to be a Blink fan in 2016. Cheers to the band for putting out a great album. Cheers to the fans for caring enough not to just illegally download it, but actually buy the album.

 

It makes me feel good knowing I helped Blink achieve something so big.

 

Yup I remember Dan had a post on Instragram saying how much he liked Bored to Death.

 

Can y'all imagine if this was to lead to another pop-punk resurgence in the main stream? Like '99-'03 style? I know that won't happen but it would be pretty dope.

 

Hahaha I don't even want to think about that album ever again. It was more annoying than sad with that girl. She still hits me up from time to time, as if I would fall for that again.
