If I had to rank them

 

I am surprised that Happy Days is ranked that low.

 

Yikes this song won't leave my brain. It is alright, but it is definitely catchy as hell.

 

I feel like Matt would have been a better choice for the chorus, Mark just can't go high enough for it.

 

Yeah definitely, but that’s assuming blink stops being a legacy band 90% of the time live and actually play a few of the new songs

 

I mean, I'm glad people are enjoying it, but this style is just not for me. Sounds like Maroon 5, Chainsmokers, or something like that. They've "evolved" to an even more mainstream appeal than they had before, but I think they've devolved in creativity with this song. Definitely my least favorite. Darkside isn't that bad though.

Someone in here described Happy Days as blink's "The Middle" and honestly it made me love the song even more lol

 

I really really relate to the new song lyrically. Genuinely some of Mark's best work. And while I can't say it's right for me musically, I can't deny I was singing along to it on my way to work this morning.

 

I only listened to it like 2-3 times yesterday at work and I woke up with it in my head first thing this morning. Pretty wild.

I can't say that I feel too strongly about the style of the song one way or another. Yeah, it's more modern sounding and a leap from the last record, but honestly this is the type of song that I thought would be on California before it came out, so it's not all that shocking to me to hear this time around.

I'm not blown away by this one, but I'm digging it. At the very least, it's annoyingly catchy.

Song is ok on first listen. It sounds exactly like i expected it to after hearing that :16 clip.

First Verse reminded me of Taylor swift for some reason which i liked, but by the end, the whole vibe of the song reminds me of like Goody Grace, YUNGBLOOD, nothing.nowhere. G-eazy. Which I know is popular/well liked, but not good.

I guess I always appreciate them trying something different though.

except "happy days" is nowhere as good and will never be anywhere close to as iconic as "the middle."

 

i think it's weirder that some of you have put "generational divide" so low. it's a short and sweet fast punk rock song. i love it, haha.

 

ironically despite being one of the only songs that Feldmann isn't involved in, i find Happy Days the most sonically similar to California of all the songs released from Nine so far, which is probably why it doesn't do much for me, but i'd still take it any day over half the filler on California. BIOMY and Darkside are still so killer, 2 of my fav songs from the entire Skiba blink era

 

Honestly, the lyrics take me back to Mark's Dude Ranch days for some reason

 

So far I'm 2 for 4. Love Darkside and Generational Divide. Don't love BIOMY and Happy Days. Havent heard the new one yet.
