i’ve been trying to avoid sill bimmons as much as i can. man. he really went on zach’s pod and said harden is better than lebron and he’d rather have harden in a playoff series. please someone take him out back and put him down.

This year or ever? I think the regular season level of scoring Harden put up this late year clearly made him more valuable than Lakers Bron, but in the playoffs he really becomes a defensive liability in a way that inverses for Lebron.

If he’s talking currently I get the argument, if this in any way about peak Lebron seasons it just doesn’t make sense.

 

Houston couldn’t get LeBron straight up for Harden right now, they’d have to throw in quite a bit more. And if available they’d do it immediately. In the playoffs, it ain’t close.

Simmons just hates the Lakers and is pals with Morey.

 

Harden isn’t really a defensive liability anymore but you get it.

 

i would imagine he's talking currently. he said harden is better than lebron. zach said "if you have a playoff series, which are you taking?" and instead of saying harden is better in the playoffs (he isn't), he said lebron was bad in the regular season (he wasn't). so, like all bill simmons "points," his was super convoluted and avoided any challenges. but harden is not better than lebron in a playoff series. not even currently. he hasn't won a meaningful series in his entire career.

 

I find it a little funny that the most iconic James Harden playoff game is the one where he was benched as his team made a comeback.

 

I think if its this upcoming season I take Harden.

 

That’s weird that Simmons would say that because on his podcast just a week or so ago he talked about how Harden’s playing style doesn’t work in the playoffs for four straight series. That he gets worn down / tired and defenses can zero on him (which we’ve seen over the last 2-3 years)

 

I just got done listening to that and I don’t recall him saying lebron was bad, he said he wants to see Lebron this season before taking him over certain players.

 

certainly not "bad," but he said harden is a top 3 player and lebron is 7. that's laughable.

Anyone else getting up early for the USA v Greece game tomorrow? Greece has to win to advance, USA secures its spot in the knockouts. Should be fun. Hopefully, Greece has finally figured out how to use Giannis.
