Exiles is great, Blinded was always one of my least favorite on that album for some reason. I love it, but it always just felt like 3eb-by-the-numbers musically. Lyrics are obviously perfect though

My co-worker was actually there, I almost went, but I remember her telling me that he sounded great at the set, better than other times she had seen the band recently, so that's good news

Jumping in here just now after skimming the first page, but Dopamine absolutely tore me up last year with some stuff I was going through. Still listen to it pretty often. 3EB was my first love in music and I will always have a very soft spot for them.

Yeah dude, the album came out right after my ex girlfriend broke up with me and started dating one of my best friends. Perfect timing. I played the shit outta that album.

"Exiles" is probably my favorite track from that album. Also, Dopamine carries even more weight now that Bowie is gone.

They actually talked about Bowie and covered a few songs during the show last night, it was great.

How was the rest of the show? Did he sound okay?

It was a medley of Young Americans, Heroes, Modern Love and I think they played a bit of Ziggy Stardust in there too.

The show was great! They played a ton of stuff from Dopamine and a lot of covers (The Bowie stuff, Beyonce's "Mine" and a little bit of "With or Without You" after "Rites of Passage"), but they still played most of the older stuff I wanted to hear. Only notable songs they didn't play were Blinded and God of Wine, which I thought was a bit strange, but still a great time!

Stephan's said in interviews that they're going to just release one-off singles on their website from now on, and possibly a few EP's if the songs happen to mesh. I don't know if that'll be soon though...Dopamine wasn't released too long ago. Fingers crossed! @linoeliam

You happen to see any good live videos/interviews with them lately @linoeliam?

Another life is so good. Also, I really want a proper recording of "Invisible" and "Now I don't Know" @linoeliam

Dopamine was a pleasant surprise after the disappointment that was Ursa Major (although I seem to like that album more with each listen, but it still doesn't compare to the others).

Out of the Vein is still my personal favorite of theirs.

Just saw them in December for the first time since 2003.

One In Ten, Why Can't You Be, and About To Break are ones that took a while to grow on me but get better with each listen. As a whole I still don't think it stacks up to the other four.

I love Sharp Knife, Summer Town, and Water Landing.

Bonfire, Don't Believe A Word, and Monotov's Private Opera are pretty good too. I like most of Dao of St. Paul but the last minute should have been shortened or scrapped lol.

As for Carnival Barker, I would rather listen to the full 7 minute version that was intended for Symphony of Decay.

I love Ursa, more than most, but One in Ten and Why Can't You Be definitely took a while to grow on me, and they still aren't my fav, but I love that album

"Why Can't You Be" is great. "One in Ten" is kind of dull.

Fair enough. I absolutely love the lyrics on Why Can't You Be, and i think About to Break is fucking awesome, haha. One in Ten is really the only one i don't listen to.

That haunting whistle on Bonfire alone is enough to get me to listen to in 1000's of times
