I hate that I like the Hoyer signing

 

Chargers should still sign him. I ain’t budgin on that

It is not “good” per se but it is among the least bad things they could have done in this scenario

Brissett was a great backup

Hoyer is a fine backup. I’d strongly prefer he doesn’t come in the game, but I’m not expecting a meme-worthy performance if he does

 

“Fine” is the perfect word for Hoyer. Brady loved him because he knew on Hoyers best day he couldn’t tie Tom’s cleats.

 

And before it starts...If you don’t think a backup can push TB12 go look at what happened following drafting Jimmy G lol

I think I would have preferred someone like Beathard who could have potentially won the job mid-season with a good relief performance, but bringing in the mentor figure for either Brissett or the 2020 draft pick without threatening either is a good direction too

 

Bills gonna turn Josh Jones into a star just like they did with the last Packer they brought in, Hyde?
