Just watched most of both. Nothing on All Out came close to the Walter/Bate or the tag triple threat IMO. In fact, there was little on the AEW card that jumped out as must see. Jericho as their first champ was a mistake. Could have rocket strapped Page with a win, but hey ho. PAC/Omega was quite good, though.

I think AEW will be more interesting when they start TV and can build actual storylines that don’t come from youtube videos. Nothing about it is really standing out at the moment. Which is to be expected I guess. I’ll definitely give the show a watch when it starts, impossible to tell how it’s gonna be at the moment.

Jericho as the first champ is the 100% correct move

It’s a new promotion and Jericho as champ will hopefully bring casual fans to the TV product and they can use their weekly show to build up the next young star(s) to chase him and win the belt at Full Gear

Jericho isn’t going to have a Brock-like reign

 

Could you imagine if they gave Jericho a Brock reign under the guise of making fun of WWE.

 

I think they'll let him hold the title as long as it makes sense and doesn't drag any storyline out, that or he has to go on tour with his band.

Jericho is the right move. Not only is he bringing in attention, but now AEW can always, no mater what happens, list Y2J as their inaugural champ. Also the guy who beats him now gets massive cred.

Also I am confused whs everyone seemed to love Tye Dillinger but now is so cold towards Shawn Spears.

 

A heel champ to start is the right move. the chase is what people will tune in for at first

He is and always has been just ok to me. I was perfectly fine with entering at 10 in the rumble being his career moment. I just didn’t need to see all the legends get involved in that match.

I think his gimmick helped him a bit. Now he’s just boring weird heel.

I don’t think he was ever impressive in the ring. There’s definitely a reason he was in developmental for a decade
