I could see us signing him to a long ass contract like we did our other guys, but it wouldn’t bother me if we didn’t. He’s on the bubble, imo

 

No wayyyyyy. I had no idea about his past injuries and was just praising him.

They weren't going to put him on IR this year and plenty of reports said he should be back by week 4. Even so, in 2016, he was ready to come back for the last two games and was angry when the Bengals wouldn't let him play for week 16 and 17 due to them being out of the playoff hunt. Last year was really his first major injury with a sprained toe ligament and it wasn't even as bad as turf toe. I'm not saying he'll get some monster contract, but he'll definitely be a top 5-8 FA next year.
