i skipped school and saw resident evil by myself. pretty sure that was my first R.

  2. Purge: Election Year was silly as shit but I had a blast. I don't remember much of the second one (other than it seemed way more enjoyable than the first), but the less these movies take themselves seriously, the better, so this very well may have been the best one yet. Some of the imagery was still heavy-handed, but most of time it was shamelessly over-the-top and that played to it's advantage.

I'm also very happy with the ending and glad they didn't just cop out by killing Roan off for sequels' sake. Now I'm actually interested in where they could take a sequel and the influence the rest of this election will have on it. These movies may never be as smart as they seem, but I also think they're more self-aware than most give them credit for.

convinced my mom and sister to watch slither this weekend while i was up for the holiday. they hated on it so much and kept calling it dumb and a waste. what started as lighthearted bickering turned serious and i got mad and just turned it off and let them watch shark week.

  7. Watched Carnage Park. It was decent, but I don't see myself ever going back to it. I'd highly recommend director Mickey Keating's previous film, Darling, which is fantastic.

    This looks good.

Before I Wake is godawful unfortunately, I absolutely loved Hush and Oculus but struggled to make it through an hour of this one. Just comes off real goofy.

Carnage Park is my favorite movie of the year so far. Just watched it last night - pretty much everything I want in a movie. Incredible cinematography and striking imagery coupled with wild bloodshed. Surprisingly artful while being a whole lot of fun. Darling just shot up my watchlist.

I feel like if I've seen one "help I'm stranded in the ocean with a shark" movie I've seen them all. The decent reviews from ppl I know for the Shallows intrigued me but I thought it was just okay. I didn't regret watching it but I'll probably never watch it again. Not my subgenre

are any great horror movies going to come out this year? i haven't been very impressed with anything. The Witch is pretty good but nowhere near the quality of the best horror from recent years

This season isn't on Hulu so I guess I won't get to watch it until it hits Netflix

I can count on one hand, the movies I've fallen asleep to in theaters in my 29+ years on earth--The Shallows is one of them.
