Tunsil is better than Clowney at a more important and cheaper position

I hate the Ducks with every fiber of my being but I can appreciate that Herbert has some talent. He has NFL tools. That I have no doubt about.

But he just folds under pressure every single time it comes looking for him. The one exception would be last year against Washington in Eugene (in overtime). But for a guy who is touted to go Top 5 in the draft and be a teams NFL QB, having ONE signature moment in your college career and four road wins would make me fill my diaper while walking that card up to the podium.

Hate to agree with a Huskies fan but fully agree. He will be awful in the NFL as a starter. Maybe he’ll have a career as a career backup that can do so some stuff when no one is looking or cares for a week or two at a time, but he has no starter potential, no great instincts. But he’ll go top 10 because teams looooooove tall QB’s (Josh Allen).

I will laugh heartedly as a team (moves up) to take him even though he’d be best as a 3rd round pick (if that) and then listen to the pundits talk about his potential and shit while showing highlights of 4 good long passes while the rest are dump-offs where the receiver does all the work.

Idk if Herbert will be good, but the “clutch moments” argument sounds like one that Skip Bayless would make

 

Turns out the problem with Kareem Hunt was the organization found him too likeable

 

I'm not defending Herbert, I don't think he's as good as people say but he has never had at the very least an above average receiver. You can't really gameplan against a good team when you know no receiver is ever going to be open, you're going to run out of plays like the jags did in the afcf. He has some very good skills as a qb but I don't know if you can coach him well enough to get rid of his bad habits. He's going to be skiddish if he sees tight coverage and he's going to make more checkdowns than you'd like when he's under pressure. He has that Alex smith, Kirk cousins type of thing. For a guy who's that tall, has a big arm and can shred you, you just expect more. For a lot of NFL teams that will be fine, maybe the team that takes him will have a good receiver or 2 and an above average ol but it's very doubtful.


He would be amazing as Brady's heir apparent.


I also don't think this qb class is all that great but it's way better than last year.

 

Herbert having Green, Boyd, and Mixon will be good.

Would it surprise anyone if aj green retired after this season? It's a bummer the bungles wasted his prime
