What's your take on polite? I've seen jet fans complain that he's been pretty bad

Gregg Williams is asking him to set the edge. They are using him as a true defensive end, which isn't really his game right now. His ability as a run defender really lacked coming into the league, so Williams is probably trying to get everything out of him that he can.

What a lot of Twitter Head Coaches don't realize is that when Polite is slow-playing on the end, it's not because his motor has gone cold, it's because that's his job. He's done a decent job anchoring and forcing ball carriers back inside, but I really would've liked to see him get more pass rush opportunities.

Bottom line, he isn't better than Jordan Jenkins or Frankie Luvu outside. Harvey Langi seems to be a favorite of the coaching staff so far as well. Brandon Copeland will come back from suspension and be ahead of him too. This is a redshirt year for Polite. Nothing wrong with that.

Honestly, I think the Panthers have a more promising team all-around right now than the Falcons. Falcons offense may be better, but Panthers still have a good offense, plus I think a much better defense, or at least a much more promising one

 

Why are the Bills, who have an absolutely awful offensive line, trading a decent depth center to fucking New England?

Polite was a good pick. It was terrible when people said he should go in the mid 1st though.

He’s fine as far as guys go that you’d make an undisclosed conditional 2020 pick swap for.

He was the Colts’ first interior guy off the bench last year, and then somehow played his way out of a roster spot when they didn’t add anyone noteworthy this offseason
