This is super impressive. Been a fan since the EP but this is clearly next level for them

 

Apart from the big hitters this isn't really my genre but this album's awesome.

This overused Christian Bale gif? Literally pulled that face about twice a song.

 

Why does this sound MASSIVE?! Unbelievable production

 

Granted I’ve seen them play like half the album live, if love to hear the full album on some crazy sound system.

 

Belleville crushes so hard.

 

IN THE WALLS is soul crushing. the sample at the end WTF

Good exposure for KL regardless of the score

 

If I like an album the chances are excellent that he's given it a 6 or lower. Really cannot get on board with how he sees music.

Still laughing about him giving the last Mastodon album a 4.

I don't think he is capable of enjoying music without critiquing it at any given point while listening. To me, that sounds like a horrible way to exist.

knocked loose rules though, I've listened to their discography 3 times this week. the end of 'in the walls' is a classic meat and potatoes headbanger. not sure if this comparison wil resonate with anyone else but some parts of the new record remind me of the heaviest parts of Vanna's first few releases.
