Read Bloodline based on the recommendations here. I enjoyed it. What’s next? I was leaning towards the Thrawn trilogy.

  2. I really enjoyed the first and third Thrawn books. Didn't care for the second one much. But I would definitely recommend them.

    Also Lost Stars, Leia, Catalyst

If you want a trilogy, I feel like you can treat Catalyst, Rebel Rising, and the Rogue One novelization as a complete one.

  4. Oh shit how could I forget Ahsoka. Such a good one.

I also like A New Dawn due to the tie into Rebels

It's way too late, or much too early Prestigious

The Darth Bane trilogy was pretty good.

Even though it’s legends considering Palpatines involvement in 9 I’m definitely going to try to read Plaguies before TROS. Might be awesome to get sheevs whole story considering he’s the evil through line for the entire saga

... if it’s legends it’s not really Sheev’s story though....

Still read it. It’s good. But your reasoning is dodgy.

True considering I don’t even know what it’s about really lol but there have been things that have been pulled from legends that have been made canon. So if they do tie in Sheev and Plaguies’ relationship or what have you it might be nice to get any backstory of Sheev

Also I don’t really care about legends and canon. So much of new canon is based on “legends” and unreliable narrators and I love it because it’s not about what’s “fact” just what you believe and what you interpret.

The third story of Legends of Luke Skywalker is one of my favorite stories in Star Wars ever. It’s not canon because it’s just a kid talking about Luke but it’s 100% in line with my interpretation of the Force so it’s my headcannon so to speak

I’m a facts guy. What is true is super important to me.

But honestly, I was just happy to make a pun of your username when I said your reasoning was “dodgy” LOL

Hahahahaha I didn’t even catch that. I approve. Sometimes I forget my user name is based on one of my favorite Disney animated characters

Haha oh yea, didn’t he even used to be your avatar?

And you’re right, they do pull stuff from legends or at least get idea from them. Which kind of bums me out. I’d rather not have an idea where things are going because I read so much of the EU. But I also love that Thrawn is canon, so I guess I can be persuaded otherwise haha

    Anyway...
    Plaguies is good. Enjoy it!

Haha yup. And with the rumors of KOTOR and even Darth Bane they might continue to pull from legends. I do think I remember them saying that they were going to do that when they first made things “canon”.

Yea, I think they always said they could use stuff from the beginning of the new canon.

Don't know if this is out there, but there are rumors that Batista is being eyed to play Darth Bane

That made the rounds a month or two ago and kinda fizzled out. Not a whole lot of credible info around it.

I was in a comic shop and saw one of the new Vader comics has the Ewoks and the Gorax, so I’m going to assume The Ewok Adventure is now canon and include it in my rewatches, lol

I never played it, so I don’t know how excited to be about this.

But Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is being rereleased on the Switch on 9/24

This is awesome. I did a search and Jedi Academy is also coming. They’ll be available on PS4 as well.

Finally finished reading Phasma to set up Black Spire. Solid read but not my favorite. All the stuff on Phasma’s home planet is very new to Star Wars but has some commonalities with Mad Max, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Thor:Ragnarok (minus the charm) and just didn’t jump out at me. Vi was really interesting though and I’m excited to read a story that’s just about her in Black Spire

Woah, are those games getting HD updates or anything?

Played a ton of Jedi Academy but never played Outcast, so this sounds like the perfect excuse to do so

I’ve been trying to find this out as well. Haven’t seen anything yet that explicitly states it’s a remaster.
