Block-chain secured voting would be better different from what we have today. And might actually work, I'm not sure.

For any system of voting to be secure, you ideally need to verify two different this

    * First, that everyone who voted had their votes cast for the person they intended to vote for.

    * Secondly, that no extra votes were cast.

The first one seems fairly easy. When you vote, generate a large random string. Voter gets a copy of the string, copy of the string is also stored in the database. After the election is done, publish the database. You can then find your string in the database and verify that your vote was properly cast.

The second is a lot harder, assuming you want to keep voting records secret. I'm not sure how block chain solves that problem. Quite possibly it doesn't. But I'm not sure I'd rule the possibility out.

Ultimately, paper ballots also suffer from the same issues. We gotta trust that no one is adding in more ballots, and trust that ballots aren't getting mishandled. It's just that the current electronic systems are even worse. But we shouldn't let the problems with current electronic systems prevent us from using technology to fix things the right way.

If the "vast majority of Americans aren't buying their big government socialist agenda" why is he so afraid of going with whoever the majority of Americans vote for? :crylaugh::crylaugh::crylaugh:
