Two weekends ago I saw a big, brightly colored spray-painted Yang 2020 mural on the side of a reservoir in middle of nowhere CT.

 

He’s such an unconvincing liar, the people who buy into the cult have to know this and just like the lies.

 

On the one hand, good for him.

On the other hand he’s a multimillionaire on the backs of free labor and is known as one of the hardest coaches to play for, go so far as making an NFL player cry during practice when Saban coached the dolphins. He also over recruits more than any school in the country (lots of schools do if and few get vilified like Alabama does) which means kids just get squeezed out of the program and out of scholarships when they have less value to Alabama then a new recruit potentially does.

Good opinion on weed. But he, like all coaches in college or the pros, is a fucking maniac

Yeah do something about the environmental racism of climate change

 

I have to imagine there’s a good chance the next debate is a pile-on on Sanders. Between Medicare for All w/ Biden+Harris and his poll numbers strengthening the past couple weeks, it feels inevitable. I think the plan was to let the lower-level candidates try to trip him up, but since that didn’t happen, i feel like the contenders have to give it a shot or risk letting him develop real momentum. Will be interested to see where Warren breaks on that.

 

Yeah like I said I doubt I'd agree with him on much, I feel like he went on some "millennials are too soft" rant a few years back but that might have been another coach. But I do appreciate a college coach defending a player for getting caught smoking and drinking like yeah lets remove the kid from his free college education just bc he did something all the other college kids are also doing. Just something I randomly stumbled upon on twitter yesterday and thought it was a good share.
