    run away with me Platinum

yeah I understand emotionally why she wants everyone to love her but I'm just self aware enough to know that not everyone will love me, as much as it pains me, and everyone in the world knows her it's unrealistic

“A mass public shaming, with millions of people saying you are quote-unquote canceled, is a very isolating experience,” she told the outlet. “I don’t think there are that many people who can actually understand what it’s like to have millions of people hate you very loudly...When you say someone is canceled, it’s not a TV show. It’s a human being. You’re sending mass amounts of messaging to this person to either shut up, disappear, or it could also be perceived as, Kill yourself.

that's also not what being canceled means, no one wants her dead just for her to go away and check her privilege which I'm glad she admitted is hard for her that helps, but it's sad she feels that way

Me! Is so jarring. I really do like the verses and Brendon’s parts, but the chorus is really bad. A good chorus and an improved bridge could’ve put this in Blank Space territory.

Favorites are Cruel Summer, Cornelia Street and False God, so far.

I think “ME!” is actually worse in context, because this is a very lyrically strong record and that song is so weak in that department. It stands out more, in a bad way.

I realize I am biased because I don't really like the song 'ME!', but 'Afterglow' / 'It's Nice To Have A Friend' / 'Daylight' is such a great sequence of songs to close out an album.

I thought that on the first listen - Serious 'Age of Adz' vibes

A billboard article released two days ago had her sales projections at 750k in the first week in the US. I wonder if the great word of mouth is increasing that number. Most artists need a tour bundle to even get half of that mark.

Unpopular opinion, but “Miss Americana” is my least favorite on here. It sounds like a first draft version of “So It Goes...”

Also the slow song-fast song-slow song-fast song sequencing, as others have said, is strange. But there’s a lot of good stuff on here.

I’m seeing photos on social media of lots of people buying all four deluxe versions and the standard version.

Holy shit. I knew Antonoff did Lover and Archer, but I did not realize he basically produced the whole album and co-write like half of it. This explains so much lol. I don’t think I’ve ever disliked something that man touched.

Not to mention the merch packages! I just redeemed my 3 digital copies. I hope they all count.

Went out of my way to Target to get one of the deluxes. This album is massive.

This is ok. Lover is the highlight. Mid-tier Swift album. Better than Reputation probably

It's almost certainly just me, but the beginning of it reminds me quite a bit of "You and I Undercover" by Steel Train.

I feel pretty dang sure that "The Archer" is my favorite song on here, & also probably my favorite song she's released since Red. Not sure why I feel that song so much, but like, I just really feel that song.

Generally dig the whole album, though. Below Red, & also probably both 1989 & Fearless. But, probably above the rest.

After a couple listens I think this is better and more consistent than reputation but below 1989. Still really great lyrics overall but still some head scratching clunky ones too. Favorites for me are you need to calm down and Cornelia Street.

I’m surprised people don’t like Me more. It doesn’t blow me away but i don’t think it’s any worse than 22/WANGBT/IKYWT, which to me stick out as downright silly songs compared to the rest of Red.

It’s easily the best of 3 and indeed a coming of age song, I like it, but it does not belong on the same record as state of grace!

My gut reaction after 4-5 listens of Lover is yes, I definitely like reputation more. This is great fun but I love the FIRE and passion of rep, she goes HARD on that album and it's very satisfying.

It absolutely does. What’s so, so great about Red is that it catalogs the kaleidoscope of emotions that come with growing up and falling in and out of love and relationships that aren’t destined to last. A song about coming of age and raging with your friends belongs on there as much as any of the crushing breakup songs.

By contrast, “ME!” on this record feels like a cartoon version of a love song amidst more mature and measured songwriting.
