Totally agree. My favorite stretch of the album.

 

What’s interesting is I don’t like Jack’s music at all, but I typically really enjoy Taylor's songs that he worked on even though his fingerprints are all over them

 

This really resonates.

 

Oh my god THAT’s why it sounded so familiar.

 

My step mom just asked me to pick up a copy for her...it’ll bother the hell out of me if I have three of the four WHY

 

Better snag that 4th one too, right?

 

Some really high highs on here, but it's just way too long. Sadly that has been my major criticism with so many albums in the last year.

My favs so far are Cruel Summer, Soon You'll Get Better and False God.

Agreed with this being way too long. 18 songs is far too many IMO.

 

Oh I definitely here the vocal melody during the “Cruelllllll” part. Maybe it’s just me.

 

Handwritten lyrics, journal entries, photos. She did four different ones. Versions 1 and 4 have different parts of all too well

 

I call this the “Jack Antonoff yelp.” He also does this on his own songs. I think it’s just one of his go-to moves. But yes, it does happen too many times on this album.

 

Antonoff has just become too powerful, he's just stunting on us with this record and red hearse back to back weeks

18 songs is definitely long but this is shorter than Red and Speak Now

 

It's a very Jack Antonoff thing (and I agree it's grating after awhile).

 

Dear John, Last Kiss and All Too Well are the main culprits there!

 

It feels quite a bit longer than those albums

 

Masterworks, all three.

 

Speak Now and Red earn every second of their length.

 

I wanted more from the St. Vincent song

I love the length of this album. None of it feels disposable (to me). And yes, I've come around on the first two singles. I'm just so stunned by this record.

And it showed up when I needed it. I'm happy a pretty bad time with mental health lately and the happy songs help me forget about that for a few minutes.

 

So do we think she’s opening the VMAs with Lover?

I personally would love it to be The Man
