i got back to lightning returns today and finally finished the last two main quests for me, which were the sazh and fang quests. now i have 3 more side quests i want to complete and will be ready for the final boss on the last day.

 

So what does your backlog look like? I got:

-Games of Thrones (Telltale)

 

Right Now I'm playing Persona 4 and Stardew Valley picked up a couple of older games during the winter Steam Sale like Psychonauts that I need to eventually check out.

Want to play MGSV as well but want to know the actual story details so I'll be watching let's plays of the series first.

 

Aw man, you're selling yourself out not playing the MGS series. Some of the greatest games I've ever played, 3 has a special place in my heart forever.

 

It'd take too long to play all of them, ain't nobody got time for that.

Or at least trying to get the entire series on one platform, MGS4 is still exclusive to the PS3 right?

 

Do it for MGS, it is a serious best understood when you play them. Oh and before anyone says it, 4 was not that bad. It was a fitting end to the story and while the gameplay is a bit wobbly, it's still interesting. The villains are total garbage though, I don't even remember any of their names.

 

Holy shit dying in Persona sucks, there went an hour and a half of progress.

 

You can finish MGS 1 in about 5 hours also all the mgs games are available on PS3. MGS V was probably my biggest disappointment of 2015.

 

Fallout 4 was mine

 

I didn't even play that. I knew I would hate it.

I've never played through the PSP GoW games. I have them on my PS3 but I honestly don't feel like firing it up and playing them. One day.

 

lol my backlog is 100%ing every single one of my 700+ Steam games "eventually."

more immediately, though, I'm actually looking for something new to start since I finished Aerannis (which was really niche but interesting and nobody else has heard of it, it seems) and have mostly filled out Terraria as I want to for now. not sure what i'll end up picking.

 

If anyone was interested or cares Rocket League registration is up on their website now.

 

My brother has Firewatch and I got to play it last night. Really great. I heard some people don't like the ending because they thought it was anti-climactic, but that just misreads the game's narrative to me. Mass Effect 3 all over again. More gamers should engage with video games like audiences engage with literature and movies, accepting what's there and looking for what it means, rather than demanding it be something else. Not to generalize too much because I'm sure plenty of people loved the ending and there are surely entitled fans of movies and books who wish that all the art they consumed catered to them, and that's frustrating if you're trying to engage with media seriously.

 

Thought the same, heard misgivings about the ending, but the lack of satisfaction was kind of the point.

 

Beat down Darklurker (6-8 tries lol) today after putting it off for months. Trying my hardest not to look into too many Dark Souls III spoilers <_< so I'm distracting myself with DS2 instead.

How many hours of grinding we are talking here. I know FFXIV's relic system can be brutal.

 

hmmm i'm not sure about the hours but i'm sure about the cost (between 300-400G - at minimum). i got my huntsman level to 500 with the ranger (using this guide: ACCGs for Guild Wars 2)

the best ways to get money is to use Laurels to buy Heavy Crafting Bags, and then sell the materials. the second best would be dungeons. i guess....if you're playing daily it would take a month or so? O_O maybe less if you have more time, because i only focused on 2 dungeons. the log-in rewards really help because the chest of loyalty gives you the option of choosing "plentiful laurels" - Chest of Plentiful Laurels - Guild Wars 2 Wiki (GW2W)

the thing is i'd casually log-in the past few months and didn't really play, so it only took longer because i wasn't logging in daily

 

Persona 4 is definitely the best JRPG I've played since FFX. Shout out to the localization team because they did an excellent job.
