Patiently waiting for Biden to say some shit like “I may have disagreed with Koch at times but I want to recognize him for his commitment to investing in America”

 

I mean on one hand, yes, Obama is a bit of a classist rich type, but on the other hand....not understanding the difference between a rich guy that will spend hundreds of millions to prevent higher taxes vs a rich guy who supports, at least somewhat, higher taxes on the rich, is...Well this dude runs The Babylon Bee so.

 

the only difference is in what they think is the best strategy to keep their wealth long term

 

I think there’s a pretty big difference between people who support higher taxes and more social welfare programs (“spending the wealth”) vs. people who fight tooth and nail against those things.

Sometimes I wonder if the money they use on lobbying and political ads and PACs every year to keep these laws off the books ends up being more than they would pay in taxes for the social welfare program they’re fighting lol
