An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

"NVM" could be my favourite song Mark's given us this year, absolute pop bliss

Hey @bradsonemanband this should be your next remaster project:

Such a fun set with a lot of really really deep cuts. The audio is pretty clear its just too quiet.

nice surprise to wake up to! wasn't too big on NVM from those first live performances of it but really enjoyed it here, definitely my favorite from the pack. That whole "I've been, I've been crying, crying" part and melody gives me a bit of a Justin Pierre/Motion City Soundtrack vibe too

What kind of Martin Shkreli Wu-Tang situation is this?!

He did the same thing with the Camden 2004 bootleg... Sucks. I think someone had to buy it from him for it to be publicly released.

listened to the EP a bunch today and I really dig it. it's darker/emotionally heavier than Strange Love ("The Wolf" is like, "Weatherman" levels dark, a very unexpected surprise) and feels more complete - like there's a full emotional arc across the songs. that's the biggest change from the first EP, which I enjoy a fair bit, but felt like the singles were standout songs and some of the others felt a bit unfinished/like drafts. "One Little Lie" and "NVM" are definite standouts and clear single choices that they'll hopefully capitalise on, "Special" and especially "Thanks I Hate It" are wild pop songs that double down on the things people criticised about the first EP, basically making it clear that this sound is deliberate and they're not moving away from it. "Need Me" is the only one I'm not huge on yet but it's not a disaster or anything.

It's almost as if this EP is Everything Opposite of the first.

People like to hold on to those things for the type of power they feel or whatever elite reason they’ll come up with.

Yeah I think whoever bought it paid like $500 for it.

I mean it's a great bootleg, probably the best out there, but yeah paying $500 for it? Not unless I had Bill Gates money.

Yeah same here. I loved Tom's guitar playing on that record so I'd be super curious to hear any of the changes he did with the songs.

Someone’s gotta make a track list between the EP’s that make it sound like a full album.

This is really good. All the songs feel more whole.

True story: I nearly hit Alex Gaskath with my car outside of a Jimmy Eat World show at The Roxy. He waved to me and was nice about it. Glad he continued to live to give us this music.

This EP rips. In the last year, we have gotten an AK3 album, two Simple Creatures EPs, a bunch of Travis collabs, new AVA, and in a month we will have a new album from Blink. Feels very similar to the years surrounding Neighborhoods. So much diverse new music.
