Let's hold our breath until we disappear

Adam and John don't appear until like the 18-minute mark. I'm at the 34 minute mark and they've basically said nothing they haven't said a billion times already. Spent a lot of time talking about how El Paso never took off.

Topics of discussion - literally nothing this band hasn't covered a dozen times already:

    * What's it like playing older songs (photograph is proof means a lot to Adam - people like Head Club - band hates it)
    * El Paso (only 12 people like it)
    * Emo Revival (we're a rock n roll band)
    * Mic Swinging (Adam never knew what to do with his hands - was inspired by At The Drive In...Adam got made fun of it for a long time - probably referring to the BN t-shirts)
    * They talked about Matt Rubano for a minute (the time where Adam knocks him out with the mic - which we've heard a million times) but then the hosts say they just talked to Matt about the story and Adam sounded surprised that he was with Glassjaw and then Adam said 'I wonder if he'll be doing that Long Island show with us'
    * Future plans (This is the first year of their career they spent the entire year touring...they're just enjoying tour right now. Adam imagines that they'll 'probably go in and start writing' next year after the 'dust settles.'

God if I have to hear about Adam hitting Matt with his microphone one more time...

seriously, I feel like every TBS interview Ive listened to in the past 10 years, The interviewers ask literally the same exact questions

It would not surprise me if TBS's publicists give a lot of restraints for interviews, otherwise how could we possibly explain that all their interviews are pretty much exactly the same.

There are never any questions about Eddie, or Fred or past members or anything about all the break-ups and their storied history. There must be a lot of things that are off the table for these interviewers.

That’s my assumption as well , and I get that, but at this point, I’d rather them ask just personality type questions or what movies they’ve seen lately or something haha at least the answers would be different.

Instead we get, “ what’s it like playing your old songs?” Or “how does it feel to have been a band for so long” or “ how did the reunion happen?”

These questions were all relevant at one time, but they’ve been beaten to death at this point

Fred talked about how Adam's mic smacked into his guitar/hand at a show once and made his fingernail fall off

    So that's new.

Also Adam asked Fred to put a guitar solo in Miami because he liked the solo he heard in "The Middle"

Some cool stuff for people tired of the same old stories

Dude. This. I wish we could get @Jason Tate to interview them so we'd get fresh questions for once. Every publication asks TBS the same four questions.

Speaking of Jason and TBS, is there anywhere I can read his review of WYWTB? I remember really agreeing with it at the time. Would be interesting to see how I feel now.

I don't think Jason even made it all the way through Tidal Wave once, he'd probably rather interview someone he likes even a little bit hah

    - I don’t like John’s voice much these days either.

    - Fred is amazing. Not a bad project under that guy’s belt.

    - “El Paso” has been one of my favorite TBS songs since I first heard it. Totally underrated song.

Making jason come into the TBS thread is a life-time-bannable-offense tread softly

I was really bummed with El Paso when it dropped as a single. I was one of those who wanted TAYF part two when John and Shaun rejoined. Was not prepared for It. These days I love it and I've fully embraced "Taking back sunday-The rock band". Listen to Tidal Wave and Happiness a lot, loving all ready to go, but rarely go back to older albums.

    WYWTB is the bomb though.

El Paso is a top 5 TBS song for me.

  23. Listening to WYWTB on the train right now and Fred’s last “YOU GOT IT BAAAAAAD” just matched up perfectly with this yawning guy’s mouth.
