Holy shit! They are playing in Sweden in october! Only 3 hours away from me. With Prince Daddy And The Hyenas? Are PD anything I should look up?

 

They are coming here the same day as Horse Jumper of Love and I’m bummed that I can’t be in two places at once.

 

Oh yes, they are! You're very welcome the venue that they're playing is part of an amazing community. I think you'll love it! As for PD, I've checked them out but wasn't exactly floored. Maybe their show will change my mind.

 

The last Prince Daddy album that came out a few months ago is one of my favorites of the year, like Jeff Rosenstock wrote American Idiot. I haven’t been able to get into anything else from them really, but if you can handle the really screamy vocals it’s worth checking out

 

Cosmic Thrill Seekers is one of the best records of the year. So yes.

Basically what the others said. If you can give the vocals a chance (I grew to really like them) Cosmic Thrill Seekers will be your album of the year.

I have no problems with screamy vocals! I love it as matter of fact!

This is my first time listening to this band and this is the sharpest throwback to 2000s emo I’ve heard I adore it

 

Not me, per se. My friends who run the place booked them, but I sometimes help out during events at that venue so it kind of feels like ”my place”. I’m proud!

 

You need to hear "Real stories of true people who kind of looked like monsters" I fell instantly madly in love with that album the first time I heard it.

If you’re into the 2000s throwback aspect of this i recommend giving Yunahon Mixtape a listen. Like blending every drive thru era emo / pop-punk band except with a billion amazing books.

 

Ordered the pink vinyl ; wish I would have discovered this band sooner so i could have snagged one of the other variants but oh well!
