I think any team’s plan for their offense is to run it through their most talented player. If I was the Jaguars he’ll YEAH i would’ve drafted more motherfucking receivers by now. But they didn’t, so yeah, projecting our offense kinda requires Fournette to be available and contribute. It just sucks that only a percentage of young players actually have the humility and dedication to change their whole daily routine and add hours of work per week towards injury-preventative self care.

I can’t even act like I would be better in that situation. My ass still 5 minutes late to work often and yet I still have not changed my daily routine to accommodate that

I think he’s a power runner that got put on two zone running teams. I liked how he played in Seattle even though other RBs they took were a better fit

But fine. I realize my only way out of this is Fournette ACTUALLY playing a 14-16 game season and I don’t have any empirical evidence to draw from otherwise.

Rawls is an RB3 and is fine for what you should expect from a RB3

That's my thoughts exactly. Once it actually happens that's when it feels reasonable to start expecting it.

Jets are one of those zone run teams. They don’t run power like they used to.

Sometimes believing in the Jags is just fools gold and you do feel stupid haha :(

I want to be excited but that requires being excited about Fournette so there’s inherent built-in disappointment looming. It also requires me pretending our LB and S positions didn’t just get gutted which could evaporate our competitive edge as a defensive team.

 

Rawls hasn’t been good since he broke his leg in 2015. It’s a shame because he was crushing it that year.

Speaking of injuries, the Derwin James news fucking sucks. I was really looking forward to watching him play this year. I suppose he still can, but likely much later in the year. Big loss

 

I understand despite my pessimism I REALLY wanna be excited about the Texans but I have to accept that the position we were worst at (LT) is still dreadfully bad and this line is gonna be a mess and we had relatively good injury luck last season which probably won't repeat

All I saw was Mack Wilson, picked in round 6, get two interceptions in one half in preseason. Which, that’s one of the few things that is still impressive despite preseason not mattering.
