I think getting people to not vote because "everyone is bad" will be good enough for him

  4. That will be a strategy, yes.

But in relation to the topic of the economy, it tanking would be bad for his re-election chances.

Every time I hear about a possible recession, it gives me such bad anxiety. I didn't do too well on the last one, and don't trust that I'd do any better with another.

  9. Yeah, a recession would potentially put me out of business. I'd assume it would shrink supporter revenue as people tightened their belts, and there's not a whole lot of other revenue growth in this business. Combine that with investment loss, and I think I'd be in pretty big trouble.

But hey, we won't have Trump!

Yeah, I work at a newspaper that, like all papers, is struggling. A recession would definitely put us right in the grave quicker than we're already going.

I lost my newspaper job right at the cusp of the 2008 recession

which is why if biden wins the nom we are fucked, the opposition they'll run against him will push that narrative easily. and it wont even be entirely wrong because joe biden will be a really, really bad president.

What an awful time. I know so many people that got axed because of that. With Gatehouse basically controlling the big remaining newspapers, it would be an absolute bloodbath.

Yea I was at a small town newspaper and laid off 8 months into the job. I wouldn't have a permanent full-time job for another 8-1/2 years

I'm confused why someone would wear a shirt that says to text something to some business.
