I think I want an Aleister Black/Fiend feud more than anything else in WWE world right now.

I understand Demon Balor has to happen first. But good god I want that match/matches.

Aleister gonna absolve both the Demon and the Fiend of the sins

Also definitely won't happen for a few years, but Dexter Lumis vs the Fiend could also be really good

It was almost a year to the day between Bray Wyatt matches.

If the gimmick is returning to his previous feuds, then Seth, Roman, and Randy would all be logical next steps...but they are all busy or unrealistic. Damn shame they cant get Luke Harper to come back for a bit

Damn shame we didn’t find out why Daniel Bryan/Roman are possibly feuding.

Also how bray was handling the dual personalities his character has in the match was great too

I'd say pretty okay show all around. I had low hopes going in, in fact, this was the first time i haven't watched a big 4 ppv LIVE since i began to watch wrestling again. There's been worse builds, but there was pretty much NOTHING i cared about going in. But, despite that, some matches did deliver, while other matches just existed or ended up happening predictably quite obvious...which was my biggest gripe of the show. It needed ONE...ONE surprise somewhere.

Becky vs. Nattie = A-. Hey, I'll give credit where it's deserved. This was the best match in Natalya's career. Very very good wrestling match. Great placement on the card for this as the crowd was hot for Becky and even got behind Natalya for a bit (Which is an accomplishment on its own). I even bought into Becky losing (my worst nightmare), but alas, good stuff.

Goldberg vs Ziggler = B-. This oddly put Ziggler over? At first I completely rolled my eyes at the outcome. Goldberg squashed Ziggler, who cares, why, wtf... but Ziggler with the line "I'll always get up" or whatever, good stuff. I also got a good chuckle from the whole thing. Entertained? I was. If Riddle debuted here though, this whole thing would've been put on a whole new level.

AJ vs Ricochet = B. Good match. Nothing really pushed it over the edge to anything other than that...kinda been the story of AJ's career in the past year...but the right person won and I'm okay with pushing the Club further. Would've liked an even more heinous beatdown but..it's fine.

Bayley vs Ember = D. Ouch. Stop teasing shit and DO something interesting with Bayley please. They also need to find a way to get Ember to connect with the crowd as well. Great wrestler, great look, good charisma...just not there yet. Obviously, I blame WWE on this one on the build to this nothing feud. Face vs face...and Ember hasn't been built as credible since debuting. Match had no flow. This whole thing didn't need to exist and a GREAT example of why I hated Charlotte vs Trish. Either have Bayley drop the title and have Charlotte vs TRish be for a "belt" or let Bayley take on Trish for the next step in Bayley's turn.

Shane vs. KO = C. They didn't do it. How was this not an "i quit" match? Also, they gave NO stipulation to Shane losing. I had no investment in this match at all, and once you realize they'e doing the "Shitty heel's outside guy keeps interfering" gimmick... meh. Great for KO to have that hot babyface moment but it would've had so much more weight if Shane had something to lose and it ends with making Shane say "i quit".

Trish vs. Charlotte = C. I didn't care before the match and while the match itself was "hot" with the crowd, and wasn't bad... I just didn't care. Charlotte having this "add another peg to her career" match isn't necessary. Not at this point of her career at least. Charlotte needs a rub? I don't understand the WWE's constant need to keep Charlotte as a focus. I dont hate Charlotte at all and I acknowledge she's one of the best on the roster, but just... I dont know. I dont get it. Plus, it's not like we haven't seen Trish in the ring over the past few years.

FIEND vs. Balor = A. Fantastic. Would've liked more of a Finn beat down though at the end. I wanted this to be a "Write finn off" type match. But otherwise... fantastic. Loved it all.

Kofi vs. Randy = B. Disappointing ending. This was good as a Kofi vs Randy match can be but...double countout to keep it going? Normally this doesn't bother me but it didn't sit well this time.

Seth vs. Lesnar = B-. Rollins beats Lesnar for REALS this time. Not a great story leading in because there was no outcome where I'd really be that excited about. Rollins SLAYED the beast already. He does it.. AGAIN! Okay so now this is it right? That's it for Lesnar? It's time for Rollins to do something different. Kudos for having the longest Lesnar match in years...and the right guy won... but meh.

Overall = B-. Fiend, Becky/Nattie, and then a couple filler decent matches but nothing you HAVE to watch.

It was an alright PPV. Just sad this is what people have to consider as the best PPV of the year. That's more of a testament to how shitty this year has been than how good this show was. The crowd made lots of matches more exciting than they actually were. I hated the Goldberg and Owens matches, but the crowd ate that shit up. Besides the opener, Bray and the main event the rest wasn't that great. AJ and Ricochet was super average compared to that those guys are capable as well. Overall it could be a good PPV to build upon, but still hesitant to call this a turning point for the product by any stretch considering how terrible the build was.

  14. Won’t spoil it but I would suggest that everyone goes and watches the NJPW show.

Main event was outstanding and the Bullet Club match/aftermath was fucking insane

I'd imagine it'd be a one off, if anything at all. We know he desperately wants to be back, but 100% should not.

New Japan booking is so superior to WWE because New Japan simply does not think their fan base is stupid. Everything does not need to be so cookie cutter and uniform. Also Kevin Kelly is fucking great at telling these stories.

Meltzer said his source (Callis? Kevin Kelly?) said the appearance was very "need to know" and that it's probably a one-time thing. Meltzer kept noting that he did nothing with the head.

Also found out today I work with Flip Gordon's cousin, that's super cool.
