I am definitely suffering massively from #2 right now. The stupid part of having nothing else going on is that you somehow let someone mess you around over and over and you just keep going back for more.

i believe i have discovered my main reasoning against relationships: the mindset that there is always someone better out there.

it sounds shitty to say, but in all my relationships i've always felt like, "yeah, this is fun" or something to that degree, but that it could always be better. there's always going to be someone who i'd find more attractive, or enjoy being around more, or someone who would challenge and better me more, someone i would get sick of less often. and because of that i say, "what's the point of being in a relationship / dating then?" and the answer, for me, is that there isn't.

i'm the same way with jobs, friends, hobbies, activities. i always second and triple guess myself. "yeah, this job is nice, but there are better ones", "yeah, these friends are kind of fun, but there are better ones".

i do not appreciate what i have and i live in a world where the grass is always greener on the other side.

 

You have no idea how much I relate to this.

 

This sort of thinking usually holds up until the person looking for a better partner is dumped in favor of someone "better" than them.

 

I'm convinced there's absolutely no one out there better than this girl. I know it sounds crazy but I'm so so so in love with this girl and can see myself being with her for the long haul
