I’d love to hear another Kevin album, but i’m So happy he’s been busy with these Devinyl Splits, upcoming Bad Books and Kenny O’ stuff.

This will end Devinyl II, but hopefully Devinyl III is a thing. I love the concept.

 

Gotta be honest. I didn’t like that cover at all. And I love the front bottoms.

 

The original is so good.

 

Original is great and so is the cover. It reminds me of Restorations at times and Kevin’s guest vocal is a stroke of genius.

 

Had a strong urge to wake up and listen to the Brothers Blood demos from 2008 and man oh man I forgot how absolutely incredible this is. Brings me right back to being 18. Hearing this album acoustically absolutely ruined the album experience when it finally came out. It was super underwhelming for me then and always has been. Production just felt off. Some of Kevins absolute best work are in these songs.

Going to treasure this today.

 

Where can I find these?

 

its missing tracks 3-5 ( hand of god, another bag of bones, brothers blood), but I ripped them from myspace one by one way back in 2007-2008. I remember he was uploading a new song every once in awhile leading up to the eventual album sometime after that.

 

Show with John K. Samson tonight was great. Shannen Moser is a revelation as well.
