i can't think of another instance off the top of my head. could be wrong but i don't think so

 

I’m in love with this one. This is what I want from this band in 2019.

 

this record is going to be a big mood for sure

 

Wow... not really a fan of the song and found the video pretty bad as well. Maybe I should mentally prepare myself to not like this record. It'll be a first for TEN and it will hardcore bum me out after waiting for 4 years but so far.. I am meh.

Haha very true! I hope that is the case here because I absolutely LOVE this band and they have yet to put out a record I did not respond well to.

I will say the production is much better on this track so that is good!

 

The bridge is immediately one of my favorite moments in any TEN song

new song is good. got me re-listening to Imbue right now

 

I Dissolve is really cool, after these two songs I am extremely excited for the direction they seem to be going in

 

Look... I have been a huge fan of this band since the first EP, have seen them a million times and will defend nearly everything they have released... but now, 7 years after In Currents.... I have determined it is their best album.


The Room's Too Cold is really, really, really close but In Currents is just the peak of everything they are good at. Ace's vocals are off the fucking charts, just unbelievable and an incredible range. the album is super dynamic, shifting styles as it goes, but never losing an overall vibe that connects each song together. It really feels like the band had a reason to come back, not just reuniting for nostalgia or money, or anything else... they came back together to make an album that they needed to make.

Anyway, I love this band and In Currents is incredible, that is all.

Yes Steve. You get it.

 

The style and heaviness of Imbue is really, really great. The only thing that knocks it down a peg for me is that a LOT of it sounds super similar throughout, there really isn't a ton of variation on the theme. I think it also hits a bit of a lulling stretch in Circulation-Harmony-Cyanide. That being said, Better This Way, I Don't Care, Narrow Mouth... huge songs and Ace's voice has so much raw emotion you can feel.

Steve is correct. Really happy to have my feelings reaffirmed, because most the reason I love IC so much is because Ace sounds dope as fuck, the production is top-notch and I still say the title track is a song I wish I had written. It has everything I want & love about TEN in 3 minutes.

 

"Tell Me Why" is bottom tier TEN for me. It's fine on the whole, but it feels like one of their most generic songs.

 

Tell Me Why is actually my least favorite on the album mostly because I don't really like the chorus, everything else about the song is excellent though

 

Circulation thru Cyanide is my fav stretch of Imbue

 

Mine is Narrow Mouth thru Nothing Lasts Forever

 

Glad to see the love for In Currents. I got into the band around that time, and easily is my favorite from their discog.

 

Not sure how you could not love the hook on tell me why
