I still can't believe he pulled a page out of John K Samson's book and wrote a song from the perspective of his cat. Love it.

It’s funny I see lyrics from that song all serious written on Instagram a lot (I follow the allgetout hashtag). And I always comment “best song about a cat ever!”

I don’t mean to be a contrarian or negative, but this album just didn’t do much for me. As a huge fan of season and quitter, this had very very little staying power for me (goddamn being an exception) and I’m not sure why.

Did anyone else have a similar experience? Is it worth trying this new ep?

I like this slightly more than Quitter but both significantly less than The Season and the first EPs.

The new EP is real good, though, yes.

I’m glad that there’s something for (almost) everyone in their catalog, but I always listen to their latest the most. I don’t know what that says about which one I like the most, but I haven’t returned to Quitter or Season really at all since I got this album.

I had never heard of this band until 3-4 months ago, somehow. Discovered No Bouquet, fell in love with it, went back and listened to the other two albums, fell in love with those too.

Not sure how I slept on them for so long. Manchester Orchestra is my second favorite band and I'm constantly looking for other bands that fit in that general category.

I think getting to see them live like 10-15 times between the releases of The Spitting EP and The Season has a lot to do with me being drawn more to those records.

Then fucking Nate had to move to Texas and stop playing Atlanta/Athens once or twice a month..>:-(

And then the whole 3/4 of the original lineup leaving thing..

I don't know if I agree it's their best, but it's still very (very) good. I think Nathan's vocals took a bit of a step back here from Movement and NLAQ, but not a dramatic one.

I think I would've appreciated this album a lot more last year had it come out in spring or summer as it fits the warm weather really nicely.

I think wake or whatever is Nathan’s best vocal performance yet

He’s just reaching more on this album but at the same time that’s what I like about it, more visceral and the delivery is more raw

Do you really think the seasons a better album or do you just have more nostalgia attached to it? (Not trying to come off pretentious, just asking earnestly)
