It costs a lot of money to record an album, ha.

it doesn't have to though. i've heard some very good sounding records that cost very very little

Haha let me just absorb that info, because I have no idea how these things work. Very interesting though.

Oh yeah for sure, I mainly mean to do it in a big studio with a well known producer like Paramore. Although even small studios can cost a lot for small bands. Obviously there's more ways than ever for home recording and things Ilke that though.

I can't post a screenshot from mobile, but Hayley basically just said on Snapchat that they've finished recording drums. Exact quote: "Drums used to be here RIP".

Haven't clicked on the link yet, but what are the chances that article isn't terrible?

    forbidden chalice.

The highlighted quote in the article is "The pop game is built for the solo star, but we still need Paramore to teach us how to get along.", so take it as you will. I didn't really like how, right off the bat, I was reminded that people still see Hayley as a solo star using Paramore to prepare her career. Unless of course I'm reading it wrong and the quote actually means "Although Pop is dominated by solo acts, Paramore can still show us that groups can thrive"

EDIT: My interpretation was incorrect due to misreading. It's the actually the former assumption. The article shows praises to the band as a whole. My apologies.

That is exactly what the article says. Maybe read the whole article.

Chris is a long-time supporter of the band (who also happened to go to my school for undergrad so I'm a fan of his)

I did read the article, but I admit to have done so absentmindedly. My apologies. I'll re-read the article again out of respect to his work.

Yeah, I don't know what I was thinking. I read it again and the article is definitely the contrary to what I originally thought. I'm going to edit my post to not misinform anyone reading the thread. Thank you for the correction, Craig.

Zac confirmed that he's only playing on the album and is not rejoining the band, at least for now.

General comment and OT but I really think people need to let go of judging articles by titles. We don't do that for other forms of media (books, music albums, etc) anywhere near as much. An article's title has to be short, and it barely scratches the surface of what's being said. It takes time and effort to write. I know there's a lot of BS and clickbait (Buzzfeed, kotaku etc) but there's plenty of good stuff as well.

To be fair, articles with titles like that are rarely any good. I read an article last year about "10 reasons we can't wait for All Time Low's new album" and it was pretty much the dumbest thing I've ever spent time reading. Not that this article is bad, of course (sounds like it isn't) but that was definitely my first reaction when I saw the title. Which I guess was your entire point, so I'm basically just talking in circles.

I am so anxious for the new album I can barely stand it. And there isn't even a release date.

Two new audio-less videos! I can almost hear the guitar riff on that second video and I can already tell it's incredible ha. Also, notice the camera filming in the background.

A documentary for the recording process? yay! The S/T lacked that. It only had a few youtube vid outakes from the recording session.
