I love Joel so much. Also, it really bothers me that no one I’ve talked to that supports Tim has any idea what his ex wife’s thoughts are on this whole thing. Basically openly admitting right from the start that they do not give a shit about her at all.

 

Religion is the most convenient tool for justifying hateful, immoral and gross behavior and it pisses me off every single day.

I’m honestly bummed that Jake from ABR is going all in on defending Tim. I’d been a fan of that band since I was a teenager, probably one of my favorites at one time, and it just disgusts me that he would go and do that. Guess this is growing up.

 

Imagine if he put this much energy into helping victims of abuse instead constantly defending a guy that tried to murder his wife.

It's not like the dude considered having her killed and then thought better of it (which would still be beyond fucked up obviously.) The only reason his ex-wife isn't dead right now is because the person he tried to hire was an undercover detective.

Didn't you know? Second chances mean bare minimum accountability plus de facto gag order and being restored to life exactly as it was before no matter how much damage you did, or how much damage your continued presence might do

I keep seeing fans say he served his time and is rehabilitated. He got out of prison 3 years early in December 2016 and had a new ALID single out in June 2018. Lmao he did no rehabilitation, unless recording an album and booking a tour counts as rehabilitation now

Yup, if memory serves I feel like country radio stopped playing her once "Follow Your Arrow" was released as a single and she came out in support of same-sex marriage in 2015 - in fact I distinctly remember her clapping back at someone saying "she's not a real Texan if she supports this!" around that time.
