People losing their shit over Bernie going on Rogan's podcast crystallizes the pathological guilt-by-association (in this case, two or three people removed) fallacy that's grown way too prevalent on the left lately. As someone alluded to above, the percentage of Rogan's audience for whom Bernie's getting their vote is a realistic possibility is likely substantial. For that obvious benefit to be canceled out by "Joe gave someone bad a platform in the past" would, in my book, require a consistent pattern of inviting on truly fringe lunatics who'd otherwise have no platform... and no, people like Sam Harris or Tulsi Gabbard don't fit that description.

Like Joe himself his fans are really dumb and easily manipulated so there's a chance Bernie could convert some.

 

OK yeah that one's indefensible... I'd give a little leeway if it were before AJ was banned from the whole internet, but at that point the idea that Rogan was giving him a bigger platform than he'd otherwise have is actually legit.

I caught a few minutes of talk radio today that had an interview with a woman whose child was killed in the Sandy Hook school shooting, and she talked about how painful it is for her and her surviving child - who was also there at the school that day when his sibling was violently murdered and heard the gunshots and the screams - how painful it is when people like Alex Jones deny that their loved one was even killed in the first place, or even existed at all.

I don't care about platform size - anyone who gives Alex Jones a platform at all whether it is simply speaking to one person in a room is a fucking asshole piece of shit. The only acceptable response to Alex Jones is to tell him to shut his fucking mouth and to try to take any platform he may have away.

I dislike Tom Brady for a number of legitimate and illegitimate reasons, but this whole article is about his growth and rejection of what the headline purports him to have said.

I think if it eventually comes down to debates between Bernie/Warren vs Biden, especially with Warren, their views and policies will resonate much more clearly with those watching/paying attention, that their polling will surpass that of Biden's. Just my hunch

All that needs to be said. He acts as a conduit and filtering device for horrific views and helps sanitize the radicalization via YouTube. It’s shown how simple a walk from his channel to the fringe alt right happens with that algorithm. His platform is a net negative on the world and, like Fox, should not be helped in its monetization of hate efforts. And I’d argue exposing Bernie fans and followers to that kinda shit itself is, in fact, bad.
