Colby has finished 1 fight since 2014. Gross.

 

Did not listen to his post-fight speech cause I know it’ll aggravate me.

 

A fight broke out in my section because someone was calling Colby a racist and a Colby fan freaked out hahaha

It was more of a shoving match and security swiftly took care of them. They were both hammered the whole time.

Overall it was a pretty solid card. Im pretty pissed about Colby but I sort of expected that outcome. He looked great. I hope Kamaru will take out the trash.

I don’t think it’s really fair to downplay Nunes’ wins and hype up Cyborg’s victories. There were plenty of women along the way that didn’t belong in there with her, many of whom were far less worthy than Nunes’ opponents.

I also don’t really think it’s fair to asses Cyborg’s career like such and gloss over her steroid abuse, something that most definitely played a key role in her distinct size and strength advantage for some time.

For the record, I like both women, and both have had very impressive careers.

 

Fair, but Cyborg her entire life was already naturally a bigger woman. She popped once, and hasn’t since. No excuses there for using. Essentially, she was the female Jon Jones up until Nunes put her down.

I don’t deny that Nunes is a double champ. She got those wins no doubt. And the Cyborg knockout is crazier every time I see it. I’ve also seen her fights that she lost, and watched many of Cyborg’s. It’s a sport, and this is only my opinion on two athletes. They’ll likely never fight again now so Nunes is probably gonna keep steamrolling people for a bit before she retires.

 

This was hilarious to see.

Colby and Usman is going to be a dreadful affair, and this is coming from a guy who can appreciate grappling heavy game plans.

 

I didn't actually see the fight, but it sounded pretty reminiscent of Woodley vs. Usman, right? Woodley sat and waited to counter Usman with one big strike and never got the opportunity he was looking for so it almost seemed like he didn't even fight. I think he waited too long and before he knew it, he was too gassed/hurt to make any real moves. Sounds about like what Robbie did.

Very very similar. I was saying that to the guy I was sitting next to at the fight, it felt very much like Woodley vs. Usman. Colby was just going nonstop with punches and he was too quick for Robbie. Robbie was moving way too slow. He did defend some of his wrestling well and he didn't take too much damage on the ground, but Colby was in control the whole fight.

Usman (to my surprise) was able to control Woodley in basically all of their fight as well. So Colby vs. Usman should be an interesting fight. Plenty of trash talk to come.

 

The volume of takedowns Colby had was very high, but Robbie quite a few times was able to maneuver out of some really bad spots and even stuffed a couple takedowns. Probably his most impressive part of his fight game in there. Striking was next to non-existent rounds 2-4 for him though.

Great move by Tyron to head over to Tristar. Also Anderson vs Walker is a great fight. Good chance for Walker to fight someone in the top 10. Walker has a lot of hype around his name so it’s a big fight for Anderson as well.
