Oh shit I didn't know Battlefield 1 was having an alpha or I would have signed up for it.

Signed up for Gwent, Titanfall 2 and Lawbreakers coming out of E3 (probably a few more I'm blanking on atm)

 

You need to sign up for the Battlefield insider program and go to your EA account and check the boxes for games that you would be interested in play testing (there's an entire section on your account page @ EA)

 

I started to get back into assassins creed 4 and I was harpooning a shark and that legit felt like I was video game version of jaw and that was dope.

 

i don't think i ever succeeded in that...didn't do it often haha

 

I was about to die like I had a shred of health left but I manage to harpoon and kill him. I was like WOOOOO.

also I'm stuck right now because I have failed to upgrade my ship so I'm super weak at this certain story mission so I got to go get as much money and supplies and it's super boring. Sigh.

 

The Templar Hunts are the best side missions because there's fun stories tied into them. I also did like 99% of the assassination side missions as well.

 

assassin's creed syndicate left such an impact on me that switching to another single player game is making me feel meh and just wanting to switch to overwatch instead.

i was intimidated by the blitzball tournament and stopped honestly haha. but that's true, there are three FF games I want to finish. I'm very close to the end of FF Explorers and FF type-0.

 

Blitzball is pretty meaningless outside of the fun you get out of it, losing doesn't really matter.

 

oh it's just part of the story right now and i'm forced into it. so it doesn't matter what happens in the tournament then?

 

If I'm remembering correctly it doesn't (I believe I lost on both of my playthroughs in the PS2 version), you might get extra gil out of it or something, but it's an entirely optional side branch of the game past the initial story stuff.

I'm actually right there too in the story.

 

So, as you may know, I'm in the middle of playing through Final Fantasy XIII, when--I JUST REINSTALLED FALLOUT 3 AND ADDED A TON OF MODS. SEND HELP.

 

You are supposed to lose the tournament. The other team is significantly better than your team.

 

TIL, I always just assumed I was really bad at Blitzball

 

The only difference is you get extra exp for winning and you get the Crystal Cup key item that's completely useless if you win.

It isn't too hard to win as long as you pile on points while Tidus is in with Sphere Shot and play good manual defense, but yeah it's also just not fun in general so it doesn't matter.

 

Are we still doing top 5 so far this year?

It's been a pretty fantastic year and I've played a lot, so I went with 10.

 

Far Cry Primal has an average rating of 4.5 across 300+ reviews on Amazon.com and and a 9/10 average user rating on GameStop.com. pleasantly surprised honestly. and I see it's currently on sale for $35 on Amazon.com so I want to get it

 

I don't take user reviews seriously at all, seems like the average user only knows how to rate in 10s and 0s.

Of course you and @Dirty Sanchez would think that.... -_- And no that's not true. I look at user reviews often. You will see different ratings with different games. On metacritic the average is 6.2/10 for users and 76 for critics for FC primal. The division is 3.5 average on Amazon. That's hardly 0 or 10. I would be more inclined to say that about YouTube comments.

However, I wanted to get the game regardless to try it, and $35 is a good price considering everywhere else it's still $60.
