  1. Don't remember which reviewer was talking about kindness and warmth in this but there really is more of that than I ever thought I would see in a QT movie lol

Yeah, especially in all the scenes involving Tate. It’s honestly pretty touching

QT movies are all about bros hanging out.

This was fantastic. It felt very different from his last few films. It's a little slower and the overall story feels very loose, but it was never boring or uninteresting. Margot did great as Sharon Tate. Her scene in the theater was a standout. Leo and Brad were fantastic. Rick and Cliff are up there with my favorite Tarantino characters.

The finale was absolutely insane. The tension leading up to it (starting with another incredible scene at the Manson family ranch) Rick pulling out the flame thrower was incredible. And who doesn't love Brandy, the good pup?

Also, this has to be peak Tarantino foot fetish, right?

    Probably yea. That was brutal.
I liked that he kept this a mystery. Seemed to be more of a long term horrible relationship than just that one moment (Just to be clear, I am in no way saying it would be okay either way though)
    Great one liners
I took that as Cliff's interpretation of the memory, probably remembering it in a more flattering way for himself.

Cliff was also a green beret who saw combat and a seasoned stunt performer, which I feel like everyone is forgetting in all this. He wasn't just some dude. Plus, Bruce clearly wasn't taking the fight seriously at first because he easily took Cliff down, tried the same tactic the second time, and then was legitimately shocked when Cliff was able to counter it. If anything, Cliff wasn't "better" than him, they were more evenly matched once "round 3" of the fight started. Also, because the fight was cut short before it ended, Cliff never "beat Bruce Lee" as many people are saying.

    Assume It's A Bit

DiCaprio and Pitt's chemistry was just off the charts in this. At first I thought their whole "friendship" would just be Rick using Cliff and Cliff taking it because it was convenient for both, but they genuinely seemed to be good friends. My only real complaint is I think some of the driving scenes went on a bit longer than necessary, but the cinematography and production design more than made up for it. And Tarantino's rewrite of the Tate murders really elevated the movie from great to one of the best of the year, especially with how much they seemed to be setting it up like they were recounting the real events with the time stamps and the narration.

I’m still extremely satisfied that a film exists where Pitt and DiCaprio kill the Manson crew

I took the Bruce Lee scene as cliff thinking that was what would happen IF he had invited him to that set

No he was actually there. It’s part of the reason why Kurt Russell and Zoe Bell didn’t want to work with him again (in addition to the rumor about him killing his wife). The question is how much of that scene really happened the way he was remembering it.

Again I took it as him saying this is what would happen if I did work with them again

That was Green Hornet though, it was in the past.

it was 100% a flashback to explain why he couldn't work on Dalton's new show (a real life western show that didn't have Bruce Lee as a cast member)

Right and, again, I'm saying that's wrong because it was a real flashback to something that actually happened (albeit distorted by Cliff's memory to some degree), not what he imagined would happen if he worked with them again.

Just watched Jackie Brown and he uses the exact same phrase “and away we go” when Max is watching Melanie go into the dressing room.
