Two rivals making big signings in back to back days. Levy needs to get something done.

 

I wouldn't read too much into it, unless you're reading something I haven't seen. All the reliable United journalists seem to be saying it isn't happening and that the reports are infuriating to the United board. The only people saying it's happening are Portuguese who are really pushing the story.

 

Need Bruno Fernandes at Liverpool. Feels like we're wasting an opportunity this summer to kick on.

 

I feel like this huge spike in transfer fees is finally reaching its bubble. Just seems like there hasn’t been much movement this window and it’s mostly because teams are asking for outrageous fees. Which I understand. It’s their player and they want to keep him. But at a certain point you gotta give in and sell. Or you’ll lose him when the contract is up or lose all your leverage when the player won’t sign a deal with only a year remaining on his contract.

 

For sure. Which is why I like signings like Daniel James for United. They've taken a £25 million punt on a very young and inexperienced player in the hope that he will develop into a world class winger, thus saving themselves the best part of £50 million in the long run. The teams in Portugal and Holland are smart, they know when an offer is too good to refuse. If a decent offer does come in for Fernandes, he'll move.

OGS supposedly only wants a CB and a CM, if they go big it will be Maguire and/or Sergej Milinkovic-Savic imo, Bale unaffordable for almost anyone on his wages.

Signed Wan Bissaka though. He did his ACL in the first training session and I had to start the season with a Dalot / Lingard right hand side. Overall a terrible window. I'm unbeaten in the first 5 matches though.
