Can't wait to get my VIP package. For anyone wondering whether it's worth it: it's worth it. I did it last fall for the Lilac Tour v1 and it was the maybe the best experience I've had at any concert ever. Just Ace with a guitar and a group of about 15-20 people standing around him, having a conversation and requesting songs. He played like 5 or 6. Just incredible.

 

That's great to hear. The last VIP package I bought was to see Lydia play in Charlotte, NC. It was supposed to be before the show, but Leighton / band didn't show up for it at all. They handed out the poster and did a really quick picture after the show but didn't seem into it at all. Don't sell the packages if you don't want to do them? Hope Leighton is doing well though ever since their tour cancellation, I've always admired their music a lot.

 

Ace, vinnie, and Aaron Gillespie played an acoustic show in Austin 2 years ago in the back of a print shop (literally less than 40 people there standing on a floor). Had a beer with him before, and got to play HIS guitar while he sang Sunday Drive with him afterward

If that means “Hit by a Car” is 7 mins long, I’m all for it. Bring me the weird, experimental Early November. I’ve loved everything Ace has ever done, and it’s time that he brings in the experimentation into the group.

And since that one song is 3 and a half of those minutes, that's like 30 seconds a song for the rest.

First impression is there are parts I absolutely adore and parts I’m not sold on, but overall this is a really cool direction.
