I’m still mad at people who laughed during Hereditary. Although the very end sure shut them the fuck up.

 

I will say that Midsommar was in some ways a dark comedy so I could understand people laughing in it.

 

In an interview with Collider, he said: "I've been calling this movie a wish-fulfilment film and fantasy from the beginning. It's a perverse wish-fulfilment film and fantasy. But for me, yeah, I do see the film as a dark comedy. The ending makes me laugh. Yeah, I was hoping to make kind of like a malignant crowd-pleaser."

I’m still mad about how loudly and happily people laughed during the breeding ceremony. All the other laughter I could understand but that will probably annoy me every time I rewatch and remember.

Yeah, this specifically. It was bizarre and uncomfortable and a little silly but some people were straight-up snorting

 

Yea, the laughter during the scene was pretty out of place. It was an awkward scene and I don’t think people were fully thinking about what they were seeing. I still contend that was one of the most bizarre rape scenes put on film.

 

The Final Destination movies are leaving Netflix next month ahhh! I've been wanting to rewatch them/show them to my friend. I may have to put my Friday the 13th binge on hold.

 

And that's why I never go to a movie theater where other people exist

Just watched XX. Don’t Fall Down was my favorite of the four. I laughed pretty hard at the epilogue text at the end of The Birthday Party.

 

Shudder is getting the first 6 NoES films in August for those who are still in a franchise binge mood.

Seriously, thank y’all for the Channel Zero rec. it’s so fucking good, too bad I wasn’t able to watch/support it while it was still airing.

 

I really need to finish that. One and two were so great. Candle Cove especially came out of nowhere and blew me away.

 

I already pay for Netflix and Amazon Prime. Are the Shudder originals any good? I have most of the movies on there in my dvd collection.

 

House-sitting and I have Hulu for the weekend. Best horror on there? So far I've been recommended I'm Just Fucking With You and Tragedy Girls
