Sitting at work listening to Mueller all morning. Amazing how many of my co-workers seem to not give a shit.

 

I almost wanted to take work off to watch it ... while the co-worker next to me didn't even know who Mueller was.

Which is exactly why Trump never intends to leave the office.

 

I think size plays a role, for sure, but they also have a different mentality and approach. It's significantly more collectivist and (personally) I think they are more willing to sacrifice for the greater good. The time that I've spent in small barrios and working alongside community members after Hurricane has been so inspiring for that very reason. Grassroots and collectivist efforts just seem to be more ingrained in culture. It's been such a good change of pace for me, and a great opportunity for the students I've brought, to see the contrast between what we're used to in periurban Baltimore. I'm sure in many ways it's also been a necessity having been a colonial holding for the past few hundred years.

As much as I would to see a general strike here in the same way that they did earlier this week, I don't have the confidence that enough of us would be willing to sacrifice a day of work/wages, among other challenges/barriers to doing so.

What kind of questions are they asking?

 

I actually only heard Gohmert’s questions but all I can recall from his 5 minutes, he tried to paint Comey and Mueller as best friends, implied that Peter Strzock was hired because of his hatred of trump, and that he spent a good couple minutes ranting about how trump didn’t act to corrupt justice, but he was acting to protect justice.

It was a little difficult to hear him though because his mouth was firmly planted against a picture of trump’s ass.

My goodness, if the House doesn't impeach after this, it's never going to happen. Mueller actually said much more than I thought he would.

I could feel my blood pressure shoot up during Mike Johnson's closing statement for the Republicans. The delusional indignation is unreal.
