ok but then she got some which she said she didn't? it doesnt really matter its just an odd technically-truth or barely-lie to tell

 

She said the first bill she introduced didn't have any cosponsors. It didn't. Some people signed on after it was introduced. People trying to spin that as "a lie" are being dishonest af.

 

Usually when a bill is introduced (at least significant ones) you have some co-sponsors already to show that it has merit and support

i don't think the phrasing makes clear at all that she's specifically referring to cosponsors signing on before the bill was introduced

 

Her phrasing to me makes it seem like before introducing the bill she went around and tried to get other senators to co-sponsor it but no one would, so she introduced it anyway. And that’s true. It didn’t get any until a week after.

 

I don't really see anything in there that indicates that at all, but whatever
