I was suprised to see so many tickets available for Oakland... then I saw the prices. 250 for pit I believe

 

Also, haven't the shows been selling out for the most part? Like it sucks for fans that the prices are high, but can't really fault the band if they're selling

Yep. I believe only the Forum show in 2017 was a full sell out, but the rest have all come pretty close.

Personally, I have been spending way too much money on these haha.

The last misfits LA show was in a soccer stadium and it didnt sell out but it was pretty full

Because doing these arena shows and charging $300 for pit tickets is...like... its insulting. Way to price out soooooo many of your fans and way to just like...piss on punk rock. $300!!!! That's obscene

 

But there is demand for it, and the tickets sell. I don’t think the band particularly cares about what is “punk rock” or not.

They certainly are in control of how much money they ask for, and often agents also have a target ticket price. Promoter then creates a deal based around those numbers, their overhead, what the market will bear, etc. Agent and promoter then negotiate until both are in agreement.
