I don’t think it’s spooky creepy they’re going for. It was much more of serial killer/stalker kind of creepiness. Got an almost Patrick Bateman vibe to him. The 80s synth vibe of his music lends it to that too.

Personally, I thought it worked. Like Strickland (forgot his new name), he’s a ready made character and probably didn’t need to the tournament like some of these guys do.

 

Man, I love the pop Apollo Crews got. Dude deserves it.

 

His look does fit that, but his theme and the stuff the announcers were saying don't really.

Regardless, he is still an interesting character and good in the ring and I'm sure he'll continue to develop it/iron out the kinks so I'm excited to see more.

 

Bateman/Dexter is what his gimmick was in Impact right?

unfortunately Apollo Crews is only 6 feet tall, a person of color, and a bad promo which has been a death sentence in WWE for its entire existence prior to like February of this year

 

Honestly i have not been so excited for a title match as i am for Jericho vs Hangman since we all thought Dean Ambrose beat HHH for like 10 seconds

 

I've never been as high on Io as a lot of folks but her heel look got me hot and bothered

 

Shawn Spears is coming to the local promotion to wrestle Colt Cabana tomorrow but I’m too broke to go.

 

This shitshow alone is going to make getting a ticket worth it.

 

Ibushi vs Osprey was really really good. Easily match of the tournament so far. Overall I feel like this years tournament has been a bit of a step down from last year... still very good but not jaw dropping good. But that was jaw dropping good.

 

really enjoyed Ospreay/Ibusni but not yet sure i liked it more than KENTA/Tana

I'm excited to see what else Alex Zayne can do.

Also, they've got another show this Sunday.

 

Highly recommend anyone who hasn’t to catch up on the NJPW G1 Climax tournament that’s been taking for place this month. Ospreay vs Ibushi from yesterday absolutely delivered.

 

so, we can totally put to bed any speculation on whether or not Mox is a good worker. dude is on a fuckin incredible streak.

Its weird how good the Taichi heat is in NJPW. He gets guys so over. To me he is Baron Corbin level cringe.

 

Moxley has really impressed me during the G1 - He really does fit in with NJPW pretty well..I honestly feel even moreso than AEW but just glad he's found a new lease on his love for wrestling. When this guy is on, he's on.

 

The Ishii/Mox table spot was so fucking gratifying.
