What a pathetic fucking team. No timely hitting. No energy. No ability to close out on a consistent basis. Just a team content and willing to lie down when things get hard. They find more ways to lose than I’ve seen any other plus .500 team this year. This is not a team that could afford to wait till the 31st to make a splash in the trade market.

They knew what the problems were when we were on that horrible slide 3 weeks before the all star break, and then there was no significant rebound after that. They knew how much they were falling behind and did fuck all to stop the bleeding. This was supposed to be a world beating team before we lost Glasnow and then watched Castillo and Alvarado fall apart. This was supposed to be an all or nothing year and here they are on there verge of another 3 game losing streak. And will likely not make up ground to take a division lead when they fall behind by 10 in losses.

Front office knows we need a clutch bat from the right side and one dominant arm out of the pen and have known it a while, but seem willing to wait until a point when it likely won’t fucking matter.

Whew. That was a lot of baseball. Fun though! 8 games up, 10 on the Sox. Not a bad day at all.

 

If the game was on the line and the only bullpen options were Touki, AJ Minter, and Charlie Culberson... I'd take Culberson.

2.5 games back in the WC, only a game back from being second in the division after being one of the worst teams in baseball heading into June. This run has been incredible.

Taking away umps would make baseball insanely boring. Most people already think it’s boring enough as it is. Imagine no officials to boo or yell at ever. No thanks.
