Damn that sounds really good. Are you going to add the pulsed bacon as part of the dry rub?

 

No, my plan is to use the bacon fat as the fat when I sear the meat. I'll probably cut the pork into chunks instead of giant pieces so that I can get more rub onto the meat and more of that bacon flavor on the surface of the meat as well. I'll keep the bacon on the side until the meat is ready to be pulled and then mix it all together. That's an interesting idea, but I think I could run the risk of burning the bacon.

Homemade rice pudding and peach compote.

 

pan seared filet, rosemary garlic sweet potato, fried okra, lobster tail with shallot white wine dijon sauce

 

Blueberry oatmeal. The color almost looks fake.

 

blueberry + banana is my favorite fruit combo

 

How'd you make it to look like that? Puree the blueberries?

 

My girlfriend made it. She tells me she just adds frozen blueberries and they basically dissolve while stirring.

 

Ate out all weekend.

First pic: Asada fries. I love this place's fries because not only are the fries and asada good, but they absolutely load it with the toppings. Nothing worse than getting fries or nachos without enough toppings.

2nd pic: Went to Modern Times and got their shishito peppers and kimchi elote. Both were very good and probably overpriced.

3rd pic: Chicken Ranch Dijon pizza from my favorite pizza place. Ranch Dijon Sauce, topped with Canadian Style Bacon, Mushrooms, Red Onions, Chicken & Grated Parmesan

Yesterday my sister cooked the food for an ad campaign for Diamond nuts and it took place in the house they filmed the Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat cooking segments in! Sadly Samin Nosrat was not there lol.

Yeah I have. If you’ve ever had a dollar taco from Jack In The Box it’s basically the same thing
