I did the whole workout today. My form sucks tho. I feel like when fitness ppl try to explain what I gotta do with my body I don't get it. Like I get what I can see, but when they tell me to do stuff with muscles that aren't visible then idgi

Had an awesome 6 mile hike today. And when I weighed in this afternoon, I was under 230 for the first time maybe ever. Also donated abou 2/3 of my clothes because they are comically large on me now. I feel pretty good today.

Offsets the fact that for the second week in a row I totally blew it on starting strength training. Next week, I'll get it

I struggle with strength training. I really enjoy lifting weights, but I don't have a gym membership and I would also like to have someone to do it with me, which I don't. What are you planning on doing?

Be sure to drink your Ovaltine.

I started lifting weights about 1 1/2 years ago and found bodybuilding.com's articles and exercise lists incredibly helpful. That site can get a bit intimidating because everyone they display is ripped stupid but once you get past that, it's rather informative.

It's all bodyweight and at-home stuff because I loathe the gym. I'll kick its ass next week.

It's been a combination of lack of motivation and being tired from not getting great sleep and walking/running/hiking every day.

i'm writing a book, leave me alone.

last few days i have really been lacking the motivation. on Tuesday i surprised the shit out of myself by going to the gym at 10 pm after doing nothing all day. yesterday turned into a break day for no real good reason. today i did a lot of heavy lifting / cleaning around the apartment so i'll count that as "exercise". tomorrow i'll get back on board. as much as i say i should go everyday so i don't fall out of sync with it, i don't want to force myself to do it to the point where i hate myself / the decision and then blow it off forever out of spite. just trying to find that proper balance i suppose.

  9. I'm starting Whole 30 after the 4th. I did it for two weeks before and was pretty successful.

I have a weird body where I don't think I'm really overweight, but everything has accumulated in my gut.

it's what's made me saddest about having to freeze my gym membership, honestly. used to do it an hour a day, five days a week.

I used to go to my college rec center at 5am every day to use it during the week before class and I would use it for an hour or so as well. However, in 2014, there started to be lines and 20 minute wait times/20 minute machine limits because they started getting so busy, even at 5am! That's when I stopped going. They need to built another rec center with those prices they are charging for tuition lol.

I love snacks and it's my biggest weakness. Crackers are my absolute fave. My mama bought me these multigrain 5-seed crackers and I'm not a fan of multi grain anything but she told me I'd love them and I do! You can have 15 crackers for 130 calories and they're no too expensive and they apparently have a ton of different flavors. I just like them plain without hummus or anything like that. Just thought I'd mention them if anyone is a snack fiend like me. I don't feel guilty eating these at all.

Feels good having to set a new weight loss goal in my Fitbit app. 30 pounds down officially.

I think I'm about ready to cave and try a gym again. The home thing just hasn't been working for me and I really want to see results at the end of the next two months. Does anybody have a good rotation/schedule for beginners?

I don't hate the gym for germs. I just know I've blown tons of money on memberships and never went. But I'm kicking ass this summer, so I'll kick its ass too

I feel like I always start new workout things at bad times. I'm the type where I get really into a new routine but if I miss a day I likely won't pick it up again and it's easy for my brain to justify quitting. I started exercising again around when family came to town and I don't have much time. Of course I can pick it up again after they leave in a few days but I have a dumb brain that likes to quit things and will find any excuse. I should get up and do it now before I hang out with them but my brain is dumb.

Lol good do it! I am such a quitter with everything, not just working out. I also haven't worked on my Spanish since I missed a day. I was totally into it and dedicated and I miss one day and it's all over! My brain starts justifying why I can put it off another day and then another day until I stop thinking about it and just quit. I need to be yelled at.
