Happy ten years!

 

Has it really been 10 years? This is one of my all time favorite records. Always will be.

 

Haha... caught me off guard too. But yep, love it now as much as I did the day I got it.

 

I feel like their last album was really undervalued. It's really great.

 

It's alright. Some great tracks for sure. In fact, there are one or two bonus tracks that are incredible and not enough people know about them.

 

Moneen played/is playing a surprise set in Toronto right now.

Never listened to The Red Tree before, but saw them live with Say Anything back in 2009 i think. Gonna give this a listen now

 

Have you changed this yet? The Red Tree is a top 10 favorite album ever for me.

In other Moneen news, "Sharks In Danger" doesn't get nearly enough love. What a great track.

I just want to make sure I have this right, but there are three different versions of Bleed And Blister, right?

I enjoy the two bonus tracks on The World I Want To Leave Behind more than most of the songs that made the album.

 

"The Day No One Needed To Know," came on shuffle today...good god what a fantastic song and a solid album.

Sharks In Danger doesn't really sound much different to the Alexisonfire orginal - sometimes I listen to it and don't even realise it's Moneen haha. So I can see why people wouldn't make a big deal!

 

I've never really listened to Alexisonfire. Never could seem to get into them.

 

Sharks in Danger Moneen version does rule no doubt. So does their Moving Mountains cover:

Thought so. The extended version, which is from the sampler I think, is my favorite. All great though.

They've been fairly active on Facebook recently, too. Wonder if they're up to something.

 

We can only hope! I know they played a couple Canada shows recently, but would love a US tour!

Saw something on their facebook about a show they are going to be playing. Not sure if that's what the announcement is about, but maybe wishing for moneen to write new music was a bit overzealous.
