I never want to put too much stock in these rumors, but I would love to see Bautista in Star Wars. Interesting that the source says it's for TV and not the KOTOR series.

What are the new canon books that are actually worth reading? Thinking of picking one up. I’ve never read a Star Wars book.

  14. Oh man. So many good ones.

    Bloodline
    Leia
    Lost Stars
    Catalyst
    Ahsoka
    Thrawn

I would start with Bloodline or Lost Stars if you are just getting into them.

IMO Just start going through Claudia Grays Star Wars books. She’s made Leia my second favorite character in canon material with the two books she’s written on her. I always recommend Bloodline since it was my first and still my favorite. Lost Stars is also a great entry point too

  16. Claudia Gray and Dave Filoni just get Star Wars and it's great to have someone in each medium creating incredible content

Master and Apprentice was really good, echoing that Claudia Gray is fantastic.

Also plugging the audiobook format. Listening to Ahsoka now. All the added fx and musical cues really help set you in universe.

I would say Bloodline, Ahsoka, Lost Stars and Thrawn are my favorites. I would also recommend Catalyst if you want more background to Rogue One. I know movies shouldn't be reliant on outside materials, but that one really enhances a lot of the characters in the film.

I also really enjoyed The Last Jedi novelization.

Cool thanks guys. I think I’ll pick up Bloodline and Thrawn based on your recommendations and what I’ve read.

could be nothing but figured id post this. might be teasing somehting.

Im definitely in the minority since most people love him but Im not a fan of his work at all (minus his two The Incredibles and two Mission Impossible movies and a few moments in Rogue One) and reeeeeeally hope this is nothing. I find his work so banal and forgettable.

In was not big on the Rogue One score, but in fairness he didn’t have a lot of time to compose it.

I totally agree. I dont blame him for that and even despite the lack of time I still thought a handful of moments from that score really improved the movie.

I was just mulling it over and realized that I do LOVE his spy-genre inspired stuff like I mentioned with the Incredibles and Mission Impossible. If hes announced for the Cassian series which is supposed to be a spy-thriller Id actually reeeeeeally like that lol It would also make sense considering he did Rogue One
