I mean I'm surprised he even said as much as he did. He's definitely risking blowback from WB for this. And that blowback would be even more severe if he was publicly leaking plot details of one of their tentpole film releases on Twitter months in advance.

 

lol yeah reviewers do things like that all the time, he can’t give up any plot details

 

Scripts and the final movie differ all the time; however, predicting a social media shit show about a comic book movie doesn’t seem like a big risk.

 

it's hard because as bad as a Todd Phillips Scorcese-esque Joker movie sounds Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker sounds equally amazing, I feel like we all know there's a 50/50 shot of this being weird and bad

I've seen Drew retweeted onto my timeline a few times. He seems like an ok dude.

 

It feels to me like he read a script that sparked a genuine reaction and he wanted to express that reaction while not divulging anything significant

 

Which, to be fair, is a thing all Drews do on Twitter. It's just a thing that comes with having the name Drew.
