Trying to be Boston part 2 without Stevens, all the guards and power forwards with nothing else

 

What the hell is Atlanta doing? How could you justify trading away Millsap and letting Horford walk?

And most importability how can you sign that team killer in Dwight Howard.

 

I think the goal is to sign Horford and then trade Milsap. If Horford signs elsewhere, they keep Milsap.

Howard/Horford > Howard/Milsap as far as compatibility is concerned.

 

If that is the goal, then it's a good decision. You can't afford to lose both of those guys, but I'd trade Milsap in a heartbeat if it meant keeping Horford.

 

The Celtics need to sign another wing player though. Especially with Bradley being out.

Courtney Lee would be great for them but I haven't seen his name mentioned at all. If they strike out on Horford the Cs offseason is basically a failure. They had so many opportunities to drastically improve and they've done almost nothing.

 

This is the worst first day of summer league in awhile, like no rookies

i'm not a Celtics fan, but i am a Brad Stevens fan for what he was able to do at Butler. it would be amazing / a lot of fun to see Durant / Horford and their young nucleus together. won't happen, but man... it'd be so awesome to see the reaction / fallout from such an unexpected, wild twist.

 

Remember when Houston was dying for a anderson/howard combo? Would be ironic

Vucevic, Gordon, Ibaka, Biyombo all having to split minutes. Meanwhile they have no wing players outside of Hezonja and a really young PG.

Weird offseason.

 

You forgot Evan Fournier and Jodie Meeks...

I'm just concerned Gordon wont get as much playing time, maybe they're letting him play the 3 straight up finally.

 

Oh yeah...I forgot they traded for Meeks and Fournier resigned.

I'd still question some of their moves though.
