Great show. You Won't Know was awesome; Jesse moved the mic up to the edge of the stage, then sat down on the edge with his legs in the crowd for the outro.

For Play Crack the Sky, he changed the line "Half-buried bow" to "About two more years now."

Brian accidentally started the drums for Quiet Things early, Jesse gave him shit for it. It was hilarious.

 

The show was ridiculous!!!!! You Won't Know was the craziest I've ever seen or heard them play it. Holy shit. Holy Shit.

 

These last few days have been unbeatable. Red Rocks was breathtaking. My seats were fairly far back so I just hung back and watched and tonight I was up front and center the whole time. I'm really going to miss these shows.

 

It was pretty heavy hearing them talk about calling it quits. Stuff like "We'll see you all again. Or maybe not." "Hopefully we'll be back again. If not, thank you."

 

During You Won't Know

 

I just saw a video of the ending of Play Crack The Sky and it seriously just gave me chills. I can't wait til they're back here.

 

I've seen a lot of live videos of Play Crack the Sky, and things are different when you're there, but I feel like vocally, that was one of the best performances of that song I've ever seen. The way he went way high on "engines" at the beginning, the whole ending... I'm so glad I was there.

it's nice for them to address each crowd about it. it'd be weird if they only mentioned it once.

Freaking Jesse is always way more personable onstage outside of Utah. I would kill for the stuff of him sitting on the edge of the stage and all that. Last year he told a nice little story about meeting his wife here so that was nice. I'm just jealous. I miss the stage banter from TDAG era.

 

Why's that? You realize that before the internet (by-and-large), this is how bands releasing the bulk of their information to fans used to work, right?

 

Until I see a press release confirming the death date, I don't believe it

It doesn't annoy me that Jesse mentions 2018 at every show. It just makes me think that there's something else going on. Why mention the end of the band at every show? With social media and the like, of course it's going to get out after the first time he said it (not to mention the shirts). It's just fishy, I guess?

 

No it's not. Part of it is people asking from the crowd if they are done. But also why wouldn't he? The band doesn't really use social media much.
